Band Members

Roman – saxophone, keyboards, composition

Roman Benker is the founder of ask Robin and has been the driving creative force behind the band for the past seven years. He started playing saxophone at the age of eleven and joined his first band at fourteen.

For Roman, music is far more than a hobby – it is his passion and the perfect creative balance to everyday life. On stage he is impossible to miss: expressive and emotional on his Inderbinen tenor sax or alto sax, sometimes performing right in the middle of the audience.

As a composer and lyricist he shapes the versatile sound of ask Robin and ensures that every song tells its own story.

Urs – bass

Urs Brodbeck is a co-founder of ask Robin and the band’s low-end foundation.

His musical journey started on trumpet before he discovered the bass at the age of fourteen – sometimes the best paths are the unexpected ones. At eighteen he joined his first band, and since then groove has been at the heart of his playing.

Although he draws inspiration from countless musicians, contemporary pop has always been the common thread in his musical taste.

On stage Urs is hard to miss – not only because he is the tallest member of the band, but because of the deep groove he delivers with his five-string “Diva” or his four-string “Monroe”.

Daniela – drums

Daniela Brütsch discovered rhythm early. She started as a drummer with a tambour corps at the age of ten before switching to drum kit at sixteen.

Since then she has played in various music ensembles and bands, exploring styles ranging from rock and independent pop to electro, trance, country and experimental projects. For several years she also taught drums at a music school, sharing her passion with younger musicians.

As the newest member of ask Robin she brings energy, creativity and a powerful sense of rhythm to the band. For Daniela, drumming is passion, expression, experimentation and the driving motor behind the music.

Regina – vocals, guitar, keys, musical direction

Brazilian singer-songwriter Regina Brury has lived music since early childhood. She picked up the guitar at the age of three and played her first concert at eleven. By fourteen she had already explored bass and drums, and at sixteen she added piano to her musical toolkit.

During an exchange year in England she recorded her first original song, which was later featured in a Brazilian national music magazine. At nineteen she produced her first full album and signed her first record deal at twenty-one.

Today Regina brings fresh creative energy to ask Robin, constantly introducing new musical ideas and sounds. When she is not on stage, she works in her home studio experimenting with instruments, production and songwriting.

With more than twenty years of experience as composer, performer and producer, Regina connects deeply with audiences – both on stage and online – delivering music full of emotion and authenticity.
